In order to guarantee the quality of the Master in Advanced Studies on Literature and Cinema in English, all teachers are members of the Doctoral Programme in English Studies. To this the following requirements are added:

  • The lecturers/professors in charge of the taught courses and of the research towards the Master’s thesis must be doctors in English Philology (or equivalent), and will preferably be members of an officially recognised research team carrying out an officially funded research project.
  • The research groups involved in the Master have a long and prestigious research history both nationally and internationally. Their commitment to research and research transference guarantee the excellent formative potential of the Master.
  • Other lecturers/professors may have teaching duties in the Master but they will always carry out their teaching activities under the supervision of one of the lecturers/professors in charge.

The teaching staff and researchers that join the Master temporarily must fulfil similar requirements.

The University of Zaragoza may exceptionally authorise the collaboration of professionals or researchers who are not part of a university, if the coordinating committee of the Master requests it, and always under the supervision of one or various members of the Master’s staff. Collaboration protocols may also be set up with other public or private institutions or companies. All of these collaborations must be previously authorised by the University and proposed by the Master’s coordinating committee.
