The Master in Textual and Cultural Studies in English is designed to train top-of-the range researchers and professionals in the field of English Studies who specialise in the following training areas:

1. Top-of-the range researchers capable of knowing, disseminating , analysing  and interpreting  the signs, dynamics, concepts and action schemes of Anglophone culture as the “dominant culture” in an international context. The main goal of this training is to provide students with an understanding of contemporary Anglophone culture and its current and future challenges. This training will situate students in an ideal position to start the PhD research programme (Doctoral Programme in English Studies).

2. Teacher trainers and advisers qualified in textual and ideological interpretation.

3. Educators well grounded in the fields of English culture, literature and language, with higher critical abilities than those acquired in  the Degree in English Studies.

4. Specialists in English language and textual criticism, able to address successfully the challenges of the European community as described in the declaration of the Haute École de Gestion de Lausanne (J. Mackenzie, 2003),  which requires adaptation to the principles of “Top Quality Management” in the conception, management and composition of documents in English in the field of business management and, by extension in any other field of the labour market in an international context.
